Smarter Automatic Color Correction

Color Correction Engine V4 comes with totally rewritten error detection algorithms. New error detection algorithms detects if image is already good and it doesn’t need any white balance, exposure or contrast corrections. Smarter automation also detects which tool for color correction is needed. If white balance doesn’t need correction but exposure and contrast values need to fixed our automatic color correction corrects only exposure and contrast problems.

With Engine V4 you will have better automatic correction for white balance, exposure and contrast problems. Also smarter automation prevents to destroy pre processed or already good images.

New Agile Tools for Customization

One of the biggest challenge in automatic color correction is that, how we can define which are the right colors for everybody?

With Color Correction Engine V4 we have solved this problem by adding more adjustable layers to color correction. Now you can manually setup which automatic corrections are used. In V4 you can disable automatic white balance or exposure correction. All color correction adjustments are processed as separate layers.

100% Parametrized Color Correction

For Color Correction Engine V4 we have totally redesigned our automatic color corrections workflow. Now all automatic adjustments from error detection to white balance, exposure and contrast adjustments uses same parameters than you can manually setup.

This gives you more accurate way to control automatic color correction output. Also this give more uniform results when manual adjustments and automatic correction is combined with multiple workflows.

Layer Based Color Correction

In our automatic color correction we have combined light, color and image processing to the one packet. Scientific core of our automatic solution is that we use color physics and optics theory together with computer graphics techniques.

This makes it possible to teach the computer to think about colors like a human being. For you this gives an automatic and fully customizable tools to fix white balance, exposure and contrast problems in single step. Our color correction process white balance, exposure and contrast adjustments as separate layers. You have a full control to fine tune automatic correction intensity and other color correction adjustments.

Automatic White Balance

In SoftColor's automatic color correction white balance is a separate layer which you can enable or disable for your workflow.

The core of automatic white balance correction is our error detection algorithm which calculates how much white balance correction is needed. After error detection automatic white balance adjustments is done by adjusting our Color Equalizer values. You can fine tune automatic white balance by adjusting Color Equalizer values.

Automatic Exposure Correction

Just like automatic white balance correction our color correction does automatic exposure correction as separate layer. You can enable or disable it for your workflows.

Our automatic exposure correction detects is image over or under exposed and after it calculates suitable value exposure correction. Exposure correction is nondestructive and nonlinear. You can fine tune automatic adjustments with exposure value setup.

Automatic Contrast Correction

Automatic contrast correction is also implemented as separate layer. You can enable or disable it for your workflows together with automatic exposure correction.

Automatic contrast correction detects contrast problems for original image. It also adjust suitable contrast values after automatic white balance and exposure adjustments. Contrast correction is nondestructive and nonlinear. You can fine tune automatic adjustments with contrast value setup.

Fully Customizable

Layer based color correction gives to you full freedom adjust processing results as you want. You can select which processing layers you want to use with your workflows.

You can also disable automatic adjustments and setup all color correction adjustments manually. Because SoftColor’s automatic color correction is fully parametrized, you will get solid results with automatic color correction workflows and workflows which uses manual color correction adjustments.
